student experience

At the Cape Town Creative Academy, we cherish and support our students’ individual journey. We recognise unique talents, interests, and goals and foster an environment where students can realise their full potential, and beyond.

student success

The Cape Town Creative Academy is committed to providing a safe and respectful educational environment where every individual student and staff member is nurtured not only academically, but emotionally as well.
We realise that the pressures of tertiary education can lead to anxiety and uncertainty, and therefore encourage open and clear communication between staff and students.
As experienced educators, our staff members are well aware of, and empathetic, towards the academic, emotional, and physical challenges associated with tertiary studies. A dedicated team of experienced staff members is also available to offer support to students in the form of resources, academic guidance, and referral to professional mental healthcare providers.
At the Cape Town Creative Academy, we are committed to our students’ academic success as well as their emotional wellbeing, believing firmly in our mission to create academic leaders, trendsetters, and world-class innovators who are responsible, ethical, and excited to contribute meaningfully to the world.

student support

As a part of our ethos of support, students who require assistance in academic matters during their studies have access to our Student Success Advisor. Lizl Roos is available to assist students in making arrangements for additional academic support or mentoring.

Students with special needs or learning challenges are encouraged to seek support from registered healthcare providers catering to their specific needs. Students may be referred to a counsellor working with the CTCA who can make further recommendations. Any application for special accommodation must be supported by a motivation from the appropriate healthcare providers.

student representative council

The Student Representative Council (SRC) is the voice of the student body, shaping campus life and championing student interests. Elected by and comprising students at the CTCA, the SRC serves to advocate for students’ interests, escalate any issues or challenges being faced, organise events and activities, and to generally act as a bridge between the student body and the management to ensure a positive, safe, and happy campus experience.

The SRC members follow a Code of Conduct to handle all matters with care, respect, and trust. If you need help, they’ll make sure to connect you with the right staff member to get the support you need.
